camcorder for price but DSLR for quality, you can swap lenses(wide angle etc) i might get a camcorder just cause i want to get my macbook pro
@Jonty1512 Good point, but video is getting very good on DSLR’s.
Reckon it’s better to have a camcorder and a separate stills camera. It’s a nice feature to have video on a DSLR but then that makes it a Jack of all trades and a Master of None!!
I used to use a canon t2i for my videos, but I recently switched over to a canon 60d, mainly because you can record with different lenses, for example, if you want a smaller depth of field, like u want to blur out the background and just focus on one subject you could do that, and if u want to shoot a landscape, u could do that with an dslr, and just carry around different lenses with one body, rather than have 2 camcorders with different presets.
i would love to get a DSLR because i think getting a short depth of field looks really nice and clean. But atm using a nice HD Camcorder. Nice Vid Dave.
I was always going to go SLR. I chose the Canon EOS 500D over the 1000D because it had the full 1080p HD video recording, because I needed the HD video for my YouTube videos
I have a DSLR because and use it for Photography but am glad it shoots great video
slr , i have an slr because the quality of video on slr’s is as good as some dedicated video cameras if not better, and also you get high quality stills
@DailyTechTV yes it’s great!
SLRs are way better.
@electrotek Great comment, cheers.
@editeslic Thanks.
My best digi-cam with video is Casio Exilim EX FH-20 which cost wise is near the price of my two Camcorders , Pana HDC-SD20 ( HDSD card ) and Canon HV 20( DV Tape )… Out of the three for video my pref is to use the Pana and Canon Camcorders over the Casio…
Cheers
@pspfano Swapping lenses is a great benefit.
@arrow1archer Yes, rolling shutter is an issue on DSLR.
@beyoncefan2382 Excellent, does it have good video performance?
@TheMugfaker Wow, that 7D should be awesome, let us all know how you get on.
I would have to say DSLR’s are better. Not only can you take amazing pictures but also awesome videos. Also you have more control and swap lenses.
My Sony NEX-5 has everything I need, in such a compact package! Brilliant camera
Camcorder because less noise at low light and no rolling shutter
I have a canon power shot that I got for Christmas last year and love it because of it’s ease of use.
slrs are usually more expensive and some people just dont have money so i go with the camcorder
I had a Canon HG20 and while the quality was excellent I had very little control over DOF. I have sold that I am getting the 7D.
i have watched ur video i have u ipohone and i use that but i would buy a camcorder over the slr
